Nothing to launch new over-ear headphones and flagship smartphone on 2 July

Nothing will unveil its first over-ear headphones and flagship smartphone, Phone (3), in a global launch event on 2 July.

London-based consumer tech company Nothing has confirmed the global launch of two major products—its first pair of over-ear headphones and a new flagship smartphone—scheduled for 2 July at 1:00 AM Singapore time (1 July at 6:00 PM BST). The launch will be held in London, where the company is headquartered.

Entry into over-ear audio

Nothing will enter a new product category with the release of Headphone (1), marking its first move into over-ear audio. The announcement was made by CEO Carl Pei during a keynote session at SXSW London, where he spoke about the company’s growth, its approach to product design, and the role of community input in development.

Headphone (1) will be the brand’s fourth audio product, following the previously released Ear (1), Ear (2), and Ear (stick). With this new addition, the company is expected to further expand its presence in the consumer audio space.

Pei closed his SXSW session by revealing the launch date of the headphones, positioning the product as the latest evolution of Nothing’s growing ecosystem.

Phone (3) to debut as first true flagship

Also set to be unveiled during the 2 July event is Phone (3), Nothing’s most advanced smartphone to date. The device has been described as the company’s “first true flagship” and is expected to represent a significant step forward from its earlier models, the Phone (1) and Phone (2).

Further details about the phone’s features and specifications have not yet been disclosed. However, expectations are high as the company continues to build a reputation for combining minimalist design with competitive performance and pricing.
